The Azerbaijan Tourism Board is participating in the OTM Mumbai 2025 tourism exhibition, one of the most significant travel trade events in the Asia-Pacific region, taking place in Mumbai, India.
In collaboration with Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and 22 local tourism industry representatives, the event features B2B meetings aimed at promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism offerings, strengthening partnerships, and discussing potential collaborations with Indian travel companies.
Visitors to Azerbaijan’s national stand can explore the country’s rich history, cultural heritage, winter tourism, ski resorts, wellness tourism, ecotourism, and other diverse travel experiences.
As part of the exhibition, Azerbaijan was also represented at the "Attracting Indian Travelers: Strategic Approaches from Leading Destinations" panel discussion, where Cavanşir Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, shared insights into Azerbaijan’s tourism development strategy and the country’s growing appeal to Indian travelers.
Given the increasing interest from Indian tourists, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and IndiGo currently operate 14 direct flights per week between Delhi, Mumbai, and Baku, making travel between the two countries more convenient than ever.
In 2024, the number of Indian visitors to Azerbaijan reached 243,589, marking a twofold increase compared to 2023, further solidifying India as a key source market for Azerbaijani tourism.
